Description - Mg5-Oraleff effervescent tablet 7.5 mmol 60 pcs
Mg5-Oraleff supplies the body with sufficient amounts of magnesium in an easily absorbable form ? bound to aspartic acid. Magnesium is a vital element that is necessary for many metabolic processes in the human body. It is believed that adults need at least 300-400 mg of magnesium per day. One effervescent tablet Mg5-Oraleff contains 7.5 mmol magnesium corresponding to 182 mg magnesium as magnesium hydrogen L-aspartate dihydrate. Mg5 Oraleff is used:
- to cover an increased need (e.g. growth, high-performance sport, pregnancy, breastfeeding);
- in the case of a low-magnesium diet;
- in the case of calf cramps.
On medical prescription or on the advice of a pharmacist, Mg5-Oraleff can also be used:
- for muscle twitching;
- for muscle activity disorders;
- for muscular cramps.
Mg5-Oraleff is prescribed by the doctor :
- in the case of premature contractions during pregnancy;
- in the case of imminent premature birth;
- in the event of cardiac activity disorders;
- in the case of persistent diarrhea and as additional therapy with diuretics.

What is Mg5-Oraleff and when is it used?

When must Mg5-Oraleff not be taken/used?
Mg5-Oraleff must not be used in the following cases:
- in renal insufficiency,in the case of disturbances in the conduction of impulses in the heart,in the case of a predisposition to kidney stone formation (magnesium-calcium-ammonium phosphate stones),in the case of severe dehydration of the body (extreme dehydration),in the case of hypersensitivity to one of the components,in the case of phenylketonuria (the product contains aspartame).
When is caution required when taking/using Mg5-Oraleff?
Patients suffering from moderate renal insufficiency may only take Mg5-Oraleff after consulting a doctor. If the cramps last longer than 10 days, a doctor should be consulted. Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or using them externally, such as medicines containing iron or fluorine or contain tetracycline antibiotics.
Can Mg5-Oraleff be taken/used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

How do you use Mg5-Oraleff?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the following dosage guidelines apply to Mg5-Oraleff: Adults and adolescents from the age of 12: 1 effervescent tablet once or twice a day in a glass of water. Children over 6 years: 1 effervescent tablet once a day in a glass of water. To date, the use and safety of Mg5-Oraleff have not been methodically tested in children under the age of 6. Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Mg5-Oraleff have?
The following side effects can occur when taking Mg5-Oraleff: Occasional side effects that can occur in more than 1 in 1,000 cases but in less than 1 in 100 cases: high doses can cause loose stools, but these are harmless. If diarrhea occurs, the daily dose is reduced or the preparation is discontinued unless the doctor has prescribed it. If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
