What is Drosinula and when is it used?

Drosinula is a bronchial syrup with fresh plant extracts to relieve respiratory diseases with irritation of the throat, thick mucus and hoarseness.

What should be considered?

If the cough lasts longer than seven days, a doctor must be consulted.

Note for diabetics: carbohydrate content: 10 g/10 ml

When must Drosinula not be used or only with caution?

Drosinula contains sugar and may be used by not to be taken by diabetics. Drosinula contains 4-8% alcohol by volume and is not suitable for children and adolescents. If the recommended dosage is observed, 0.32 g to 0.63 g of alcohol are consumed with each intake. There is a health risk for people with liver disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, brain damage, pregnant and breastfeeding women, among others. The effect of other medicines may be increased or decreased. Drosinula must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients (see composition) or if you have asthma or whooping cough. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself).

May Drosinula taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Alcohol can cause harm to the unborn child. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you must not take Drosinula - due to its alcohol content.

How do you use Drosinula?

Adults: every 3rd month Hours take 10 ml with the enclosed measuring cup. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

Side effects Do you have Drosinula?

No side effects have been observed for Drosinula when used as directed. If you nevertheless observe side effects, inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else should be observed?

Drosinula contains sugar and is therefore not suitable for diabetics. Drosinula contains a production-related alcohol content of 4-8% by volume. Drosinula should be stored at room temperature (15-25°C) and out of the reach of children. Drosinula may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Fresh plant tinctures can occasionally experience a night cloudiness, but this does not affect the effect. Unused or expired packs should be returned to your pharmacist or druggist for disposal. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.

What does Drosinula contain?

10 ml Drosinula syrup contain: 2.6 g pressed juice and aqueous extract of fresh red fir buds (DEV 1:1 calculated on the fresh medicinal plant), 0.3 g tincture of sundew (drug-extractant ratio 1:6-11, extractant ethanol 51% (V/V) ), 0.08 g tincture of ivy herb (drug-extractant ratio 1:3-12, extractant ethanol 65% (V/V)), 4.6 g raw cane sugar, 3 g honey, 3 g pear syrup. Drosinula contains approx. 4-8% alcohol by volume.
