What is Bronchosan and when is it used?
Bronchosan is a fresh plant preparation made from ivy herb, thyme herb and liquorice tincture. It can be used for cold coughs with the formation of viscous mucus, influenza infections with coughs, dry coughs caused by a cold. Bronchosan is expectorant, soothes coughs, loosens mucus and is anti-inflammatory.
What should be considered?
If you have a cough that lasts longer than seven days, a consult a doctor.
When should Bronchosan not be taken or only with caution?
Bronchosan (like all cough drops) only after consulting the doctor. Bronchosan must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, if you have asthma, whooping cough or stomach ulcers. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself).
Can Bronchosan be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Bronchosan?
Adults and adolescents: 20 drops 3 - 5 times a day; Children from 2 - 12 years: Take 5 drops in a little water in sips 3 - 5 times a day. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Side effects Have Bronchosan?
No side effects have been observed for Bronchosan when used as directed. If you nevertheless observe side effects, inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else should be observed?
Bronchosan contains an alcohol content of 45 - 51% by volume due to the production process. Bronchosan should be stored at room temperature (15-25°C) and out of the reach of children. Bronchosan may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Fresh plant tinctures can occasionally experience a night cloudiness, but this does not affect the effect. Unused or expired packs should be returned to your pharmacist or druggist for disposal. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.
What does Bronchosan contain?
1 ml Bronchosan contains: 376 mg fresh ivy herb tincture, drug-extractant ratio 1:5.6; 329 mg tincture of fresh thyme herb*, drug extractant ratio 1:7.9; 234 mg tincture of licorice root, drug-extractant ratio 1:10; Extraction agent ethanol 51% (v/v). This preparation also contains aromatics. * (from controlled organic cultivation) Bronchosan contains 45 - 51% alcohol by volume. 1 ml = 38 drops
