What is CELLUVISC Unit Dose and when is it used?

CELLUVISC® Unit Dose are eye drops, so-called artificial tears. They are used to moisten the eyes and for slight irritation of the eyes.

CELLUVISC® Unit Dose are available in single-dose containers.

CELLUVISC® Unit Dose is also used on the recommendation of the pharmacist or on medical prescription for dry eyes of various causes.

What should be observed?

Note for contact lens wearers

Contact lenses should be removed before each use of Remove the CELLUVISC® Unit Dose and only put it back in 15 minutes after application.

When should CELLUVISC Unit Dose not be used?

If you have a known or suspected hypersensitivity (allergy) to an ingredient in the CELLUVISC® Unit Dose.

When should you be careful when using CELLUVISC Unit Dose?

If no improvement after 2-3 days accident has occurred, a doctor must be consulted. If the symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear (e.g. pain, changes in vision, persistent redness or irritation), discontinue the CELLUVISC® Unit Dose and consult a doctor immediately.

Because blurred vision may occur for a short time after use, you should wait until your vision is clear again before driving or using machines.

Can CELLUVISC Unit Dose be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

How do you use the CELLUVISC Unit Dose?

AdultsTurn off the tab.If necessary, drip 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac up to 8 times a day.The rest The solution in the single-dose container should be discarded immediately after use.Do not use CELLUVISC® Unit Dose if the packaging shows signs of damage. Also, do not use the medicine if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy.

If you are using other eye drops, there must be a gap of at least 5 minutes between using these eye drops and CELLUVISC® Unit Dose.

To avoid contaminating the eye drops or possible injury to the eye, ensure that the tip of the single-dose container does not come into contact with any surface or come into contact with the eye.

The use and safety of you CELLUVISC® Unit Dose in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.

Stick to the dosage given in the package insert or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can CELLUVISC Unit Dose have?

The following side effects can occur when using CELLUVISC® Unit Dose:Common (affects 1 to 10 out of 100 users)Eye irritation (including burning and discomfort).IsolatedThe following side effects are known to occur, but the number of people who are likely to be affected is not known:Pain in the eye, red eyes, changes in vision.Active substances contained in eye preparations can enter the bloodstream. Side effects can therefore also occur in other parts of the body besides the eyes.

If eye irritation such as pain, redness, burning and discomfort or changes in the clarity of vision occur, discontinue the CELLUVISC® Unit Dose and inform your doctor or pharmacist.

After use, slight visual disturbances (fogging) may occur briefly until the drops have spread over the surface of the eye.

The following side effects or Medically relevant adverse events have been reported since the drug was placed on the market:Allergic reactions (including swelling of the eye or eyelid), sticky eyes, itchy eyes, eyelid crusting and/or drug residue, foreign body sensation in the eye, red eyes/eyelids, worsening of vision, injury to the surface of the eye due to the tip of the single-dose container touching the eye during use.If you notice any side effects, contact us to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

The medicine may only be used up to the date marked «Exp» on the container.Use-by period after openingDispose of the unused eye drops from an opened CELLUVISC® unit dose.Storage instructionsAt room temperature (15-25°C) store.

Keep the single-dose containers in the sachet and keep the sachet in the outer carton in order to protect from light and moisture.
